🔬 Where Your Numbers Come From 🔬
- 🔬 New: Our Science shows what your water, sodium, and carb numbers are built on, with links to the research. Open it from the Consume card in any activity, or from Menu, About Saturday.
- 🩹 Fixed two crashes: one that could close the app at launch before you were signed in, and one that could close it when a button took you to another screen.
- 🧂 Plain maltodextrin, fructose, and dextrose are back in the product picker.
- 🌡️ Indoor rides and swims now start one sweat level lower, so those sessions ask for a little less.
- 📱 Product names get room to breathe, and the bottom bar holds still while you scroll.
Thank you for letting us fuel your Saturdays. 🧡

New: Our Science
- A screen explaining what your fluid, sodium, and carbohydrate numbers are built on, and who builds them.
- Three references, each opening the source in your browser.
- Reach it from the info button on the Consume card inside any activity, or from Menu, About Saturday, Our Science.
New: Kitchen Sugars Are Back
- Plain maltodextrin, fructose, and dextrose are selectable again in the product picker, in 1 tablespoon, 20 g, and 100 g servings.
- They had been missing since 1.2.13.
Improved: Product Cards
- The serving-size lock and the favorite bookmark moved to their own column on the left, each with a bigger, easier target.
- That gives the product name the rest of the card, so long names now wrap to a second line instead of being cut off.
- Cards grow with your system text size, and the category tabs fit narrow phones.
Improved: Indoor Sessions
- Indoor rides start at sweat level 5 instead of 6, and swims start at 4 instead of 5.
- This changes what those sessions ask you to drink and take in. Outdoor sessions, hikes, and lifting are unchanged.
Improved: Moving Around the App
- The bottom bar no longer drifts, fades, or springs back while you scroll. It stays where you put your thumb.
- The bar itself was rebuilt: a clearer background you can see through, with the selected icon carrying the highlight on its own.
- It follows your system settings for reduced transparency, high contrast, and reduced motion.
- On Android phones using three-button navigation, back, home, and recents stay legible over dark or photo backgrounds.
Improved: Reading Your Activities
- Metric captions on activity cards sit back a little, so where the data came from stands out from the labels.
- Long fuel names and large text sizes now fit on narrow phones in Prepare Fuel.
- The duration picker no longer offers an odd minute value that imported activities sometimes carry.
Fixed: Crashes
- The app could close at launch, or right after tapping the Saturday logo on the welcome screen, before sign-in had finished.
- The app could close when you tapped a button that opened another screen. It depended on timing, so it looked random.
- Removing a product in Prepare Fuel could close the app.
- Two location permission requests arriving at once could close the app.
Fixed: Getting Stuck
- One unexpected value in a profile could send you to an error screen at every launch, with no way past it. Profiles now recover from bad values instead of refusing to load.
- The menu button could stop responding until you force-quit the app.
- The Add Training grid could come up empty. It now falls back to the standard sports.
Fixed: Connected Services
- Connecting TrainingPeaks could show "Try Again" even though the connection had already succeeded. Most slow logins were affected.
- Tapping "Try Again" no longer deletes a connection that was working.
- A workout that arrives twice from a connected service now appears once.
- Notifications, reminders, and connected services keep working after you sign out and back in, or switch between accounts.
- Opening the app from an emailed link now lands you on your activities straight away.
Fixed: Editing and Sheets
- Save stayed greyed out after you changed an activity's duration or distance. Changing either now enables it, as does switching a swim between yards and meters, or clearing the distance.
- Confirmation messages raised inside a sheet were invisible. They now appear.
- Dragging a sheet could leave it stranded between positions instead of settling, and a sheet that cannot be dismissed no longer slides off the bottom of the screen.
Fixed: Scanning
- A scanned product could be silently dropped instead of saved when its label came back in an unrecognized category.
Under the Hood
- Text and product data can now be updated without waiting for an app release. The permissions this needed had been missing since the feature shipped, so it had never once worked in production.
- Security updates to supporting software, and tighter rules on what the app is allowed to read.
